CareerJunction's latest South African Salary Review

A review of the top 10 sectors
CareerJunction's latest South African Salary Review

2014's job-hunting season is in full swing, and while retrenchment and unemployment seems to be a hot topic at the moment, many companies are continuing to search for and employ new staff. This raises the issue of payroll inflation for 2014 and has many HR professionals, as well as job seekers, looking for guidance.

CareerJunction, one of SA's top job boards, has released its latest salary review, compiled exclusively for South African job seekers and professionals as well as recruiters and employers. Findings are based on the latest salary offerings (final quarter of 2013 and January 2014) collected from CareerJunction's website, currently serving over 2000 recruiters who advertise an average of 25,000 jobs every month.

The report focusses on the top 10 most popular sectors in the South African job market and includes a regional scale for salary differences across Gauteng, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.

The latest Salary Review serves as a good indicator for job seekers and professionals in the South African job market of potential monthly earnings by occupation. The salary information can also be used by employers and recruiters as a useful guide to determine reasonable remuneration packages across various occupations.

CareerJunction now also offers labour market analysis on an ad hoc basis upon request. Research is done using a sample size of over 2.4 million (both job ad and job seeker numbers). For ad hoc requests, please contact az.oc.noitcnujreerac@ijc.
