Thanusha Govender has been appointed as the new managing director of XLink, a Vodacom Group subsidiary that provides secure payment connectivity solutions. Govender, a qualified chemical engineer, will succeed Hymie Marnewick.
Among her previous roles are corporate strategist, management consultant and COO. She has led business transformation at companies like Barclays Africa and Accenture. Govender spent five years as head of corporate strategy and planning at the Absa Group before joining XLink.
Govender's expertise includes strategy development and execution, research and development, data analytics and culture transformation. She will use her cross-functional and cross-industry expertise, particularly in the financial services and retail sectors to help XLink grow.
