Must-have skills and experience:

• Well rounded developer with 5 to 8 years’ solid development experience
• Back-end and Full Stack Development
• Experience directing AI coding agents (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as part of the development workflow
• Java certification - advantageous
• AWS certification - advantageous

Strong advantages:

• Java
• NodeJS
• Typescript
• Python

Advantageous skills:

• AWS
• Solid understanding of RESTful API development
• Experience with version control using Git
• Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)

Reference number for this position is GZ61532 which is a permanent position based in Pretoria offering a salary of R840k per annum, negotiable based on experience and ability.
