Avaya Telephony Engineer

A well-established organisation is looking for a highly experienced Avaya Telephony Engineer to join their technology team.

This role is suited to a specialist with deep technical expertise in Avaya enterprise telephony environments, responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimising a large-scale voice infrastructure in a high-availability environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and integration of the organisation’s telephony systems while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Minimum 10 years’ experience administering and supporting Avaya enterprise voice platforms

Proven experience with:

• Avaya Aura Communication Manager
• Avaya Session Manager
• Avaya System Manager
• Avaya Messaging
• Avaya Media Gateways (G450 / G430)
• SIP technologies

• Experience with Oracle Session Border Controllers
• Experience with Verint Call Recording
• VMware and SQL experience advantageous

Skills & Technical Competencies:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Solid understanding of VoIP technologies and protocols (SIP, H.323)
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN/WAN, QoS, and VLANs
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to work independently within a fast-paced enterprise environment
