A leading independent financial services group in South Africa renowned for its holistic approach to wealth creation and management is seeking a proactive and skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join their high-performing IT team.
In this role, you will be required to implement appropriate designs for databases, data warehouses, marts, reports, and dashboards
To work for this team with a strong national footprint and a commitment to long-term value creation, empowering both clients and employees to grow with confidence.
Skills required:- At least five years’ experience as a database administrator
- Matric plus applicable tertiary equivalent experience or preferably, an ICT-relevant diploma or degree from a recognised tertiary institution
- Relevant technical certifications
- Cloud database experience
- Able to consult on data architecture and assess the impact of project changes to data architecture
- Experience working with SQL Server 2016 and 2019 as a database administrator
- Design and development of MS SQL Server databases (DB design, optimisation, tuning, ETL, stored procedures, triggers, and views)
- MCDBA certification advantageous
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) beneficial
- Must have Microsoft SQL Always On practical experience
