    CoJ releases draft planning by-laws, dates for public participation

    The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) has released documents for comment and the dates of rates discussion meetings for public participation.

    The Joburg's Draft Spatial Development Framework has been released for comment, with a hard copy available at all the regional offices and the COJ offices (10th Floor, Metro Centre). Residents have 60 days from publication to submit comments.

    Dates for public rates meetings

    The City of Johannesburg invites all residents and interested parties to give input into the review of the City's Property Rates Policy. This annual process ensures that resident's voices are heard so that the Rates Policy remains sustainable and the related tariffs are equitable and affordable.

    The 2015/2016 Rates Policy and Tariff Schedule is currently available on the City's website for review. Comments may be made in writing and submitted before 4 March 2016 by fax to +27 (0)86 447 7567 or by email to az.gro.gruboj@tnemmocsetar.

    Draft Joburg Municipal Planning By-law

    A draft by-law is open for comment. Copies of the draft by-law will lie open for inspection during normal office hours for 30 days from date of publication of the notice at the Metropolitan Centre, Braamfontein. Copies will also be available at the regional offices, as well as be available on the City's website www.joburg.org.za.
