SA Tourism creates message of hope with new travel campaign

As part of South African Tourism's call for citizens to not travel now, so that they can travel later, two inspirational TVCs have been launched giving hope to South Africans during the 21-day lockdown, reinforcing the message that South Africa and its people will travel and welcome the world again after Covid-19.

The two 90 second videos are an emphasis on the importance of heeding to the Presidents call to stay home in a bid to flatten the curve and curb the spread of the virus.

The videos depict picturesque shots of many much-loved South African tourist attractions but with nobody in sight, further highlighting the importance of everyone to be responsible and stay safe.


Both the videos showcase the country in a hibernation type state with the echoing message being that if we can stay home today, we’ll be able to travel again soon.

"Our creative teams created these TVCs semi-remotely, something that we have never done before, proving in true South African style that nothing is impossible as long as we work together," said Altaaf Kazi, GM: Global PR, communications and stakeholder relations
