#AfricaMonth launches on BizWith Africa Day falling on 25 May 2018, it's #AfricaMonth on Bizcommunity.com and Bizcommunity.Africa. This is Africa's time and Bizcommunity is telling the positive news story of Africa: that of economic growth, global multinational investment, business expansion and a digital revolution that is transforming the continent. Euromonitor pegged "Africa Rising" as a global megatrend for 2018 - but here, on the continent, we've been talking about Africa Rising for a good few years now: we have a rising, aspirant middle class in Africa with monthly spending power of R1.3 trillion; the youngest population in the world which will reach 500 million under 25 years by 2030 to provide a ready workforce; a mobile-first society that has embraced mobile financial, entertainment and communications innovations more than any other continent; and boasts one of the most entrepreneurial cultures, with 442 technology hubs across Africa incubating startups and nurturing entrepreneurs. My favourite stat is that six of the 10 fastest growing economies of the world in 2018 are in Africa, namely, Ghana, Ethiopia, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Senegal and Tanzania. And let's not forget the political and economic transformation underway in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Angola, which will set them on the road to economic recovery too. This is why Bizcommunity.com, South Africa's largest B2B publisher, decided to focus on expanding its industry news into Africa on all the industry sectors it covers in 2017, securing the .Africa domain: Agriculture, Horticulture & Forestry; Automotive; Construction & Engineering, CSI & Sustainability; Education & Training; Energy & Mining; Finance & Insurance; Healthcare, Human Resources & Recruitment; IT & Telecommunications; Legal; Lifestyle; Logistics & Transport; Media & Marketing; Retail; Property & Real Estate; Tourism, Travel & Hospitality.
