The three-day event will feature the best and the brightest of the African continent and culminate in a royal banquet ceremony. Among the highlights of the event will be the Africa Women's Empowerment Conference, an African business symposium and the best of African music entertainment.

The Africa Convention is being held to acknowledge the accomplishments of Africans in the Diasporas and to simultaneously give back to the forgotten children of Africa through a number of well regarded and highly creditable, charitable organisations, using a portion of the event ticket sales.

The Africa Convention is meant to inspire friendship and goodwill among all Africans outside the mother continent. It is an opportunity to address issues facing African women through the exchange of information, research and discussion. The event offers a platform for business opportunities and a chance to promote social, cultural, economic and philanthropic activities among participants.

The Africa Convention is produced by Suns of Africa Inc., a non-profit organisation comprised of African and non-African individuals whose goals are to illuminate a better way for Africa. These individuals aim to bring the best of Africa to the world and vice versa through charity work, entrepreneurship and arts promotion.
