SuperSport is screening what is recognised as the oldest national teams' tournament in the world…the COPA AMERICA, with the 2007 version coming to DStv audiences live from Venezuela! The tournament began in 1916 and 2007 marks the 42nd time it has been held.

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela, the United States and Uruguay are those heading into action as the tournament kicks off on June 27.
Running until July 15, the COPA AMERICA allows fans to get a closer look at football's rising stars of tomorrow; the Americas is traditionally a dynamic breeding ground for players who have gone on to dominate leagues internationally.
The 12 teams will be broken into 3 groups of 4 and will play through a first stage. Then the teams ranked first and second in each group and the best teams among those ranked third will qualify for the quarterfinals. From there it's a quick run into the semi-finals and the massive highlight – the COPA AMERICA Final!
