Worldwide adspend expected to rise

Global advertising spending is expected to rise 3% this year, to $324.5bn, according to international media planning and buying group, ZenithOptimedia, in their twice-yearly forecast. The rise is expected to extend over at least the next three years, driven by a recovery of the US market. The outlook for Europe, however, where adspend has declined in the past three years, "remained uncertain".
