TFG makes learners proud on first day of school

On 12 January 2017 TFG (The Foschini Group) donated school packs to over 200 Grade 1 learners in Caledon.

The school pack comprised of Life Orientation clothing produced by TFG’s manufacturing school where they train unemployed women to sew. In addition, stationery packs and school shoes were donated by TFG’s family brand, Exact.

This project is an important part of TFG’s CSI essence which aims to educate to empower across all education levels. School uniforms play an important role in schools as it promotes safety, improves discipline and enhances the learning environment.

“We all know how exciting your first day of school is and we wanted to make their day just as memorable. We specifically chose Caledon schools as our training school is based there and many of our employees’ children attend these schools. Overall, we wanted our employees to be part of the giving back process.” - Mymoena Mooradd: TFG CSI Manager.
