TFG supports the Leah Tutu Unsung Heroes Award

On Tuesday, 15 November, TFG joined the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation to commemorate 'unsung' heroes in South Africa

In its second year, the 2016 ‘Unsung Heroes Award’ is aimed at recognising and rewarding extraordinary selfless individuals who care and look after less-fortunate communities. The recipient for this year’s ‘Unsung Heroes Award’ is awarded to Gawa Sayed, a key member of the largest international disaster relief group of African origin, Gift of the Givers. TFG is proud to partner with Gift of the Givers on various initiatives aimed at bringing relief to disaster affected communities.

“At TFG, it is important for us to partner with like minded organisations such as the Gift of the Givers so that together we are able to socially uplift our communities. We are proud that Gawa Sayed has been given this award as her passionate and dedicated nature has benefited a number of communities and for that reason, she deserves it!” Mymoena Mooradd, TFG CSI Manager.

Together with the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation, TFG salutes South Africa’s Unsung Heroes, and hopes that, by their example others will be inspired to serve others in the same generous way.
