Since then she’s done amazing things, and her next dream is to participate in the upcoming Comrades Marathon on the 29th May 2016. Chaeli and Anita (also part of the Chaeli foundation) will be the first wheelchair athletes to ever compete in the Comrades!
Duesouth will be partnering with the Chaeli Foundation on this historic event by sponsoring Chaeli’s jogger and her entire support team. At the core of the Duesouth brand is a passion for freedom and adventure as a means of energetic self-expression, and the brand is happy to be making a real difference to Chaeli who shares the same passion.
"Duesouth is honoured to support the Chaeli Foundation. Chaeli represents everything that Duesouth stands for – a strong spirit, the never-ending search for freedom, an unquenchable thirst for the next adventure, the knowledge that there is always more to life and to take on every new journey with passion and conviction.
"One of the true meanings of our brand ethos 'Be An Outsider' is not to conform but to proudly stand apart from the rest, and Chaeli’s drive, passion and achievements is one of the most inspiring examples of this mindset.
"In 2015 we supported Chaeli as she made history by becoming the first female quadriplegic to summit Kilimanjaro and we are extremely excited to partner with her once again on her road to completing the Comrades 2016!" – Fernando Ventura, Head of Duesouth.
We look forward to making Comrades history!
