USA-based Africa International Models Management debuts in Uganda

USA-based Africa International Models Management (AIMM) will premiere its Open Call during the final auditions of Miss Fashion Week Africa (MFWA) modelling competition at Amnesia in Kampala, Uganda. Both events will occur on 30 September 2017 and will gather stakeholders in Africa's fashion industry, including designers, photographers and models. At the events, AIMM will offer international contracts to African models to work in US, Europe, and South America, and Africa's representatives to 2018 Miss Fashion Week competition in Orlando, Florida, USA will also be determined.
AIMM is a global model scouting and brokerage firm established through a collaboration of Miss Fashion Week Africa and renowned US-based global model scout, Dominique Jolivette. AIMM focuses exclusively on scouting and recruiting African models to work in North America, Europe, and South America. Owners of Miss Fashion Week Africa, Menes Konsult and in conjunction with Europlaw Nigeria Ltd, established AIMM as a social enterprise to provide international opportunities to Africa models.

Principal Director of Menes Konsult, Attorney N. Jay Menes, observed that over 500 talented African models participated in Miss Fashion Week Africa contest in 2016. Such talent pool led to establishment of AIMM as a platform and super-charged highway to drive African models to international jobs. Mr Menes and his partners believe that through AIMM, “many African models can fulfill their dreams.” He added that after a global search, Menes Konsult selected Dominique Jolivette of Nashville, Tennessee to serve as Chief Scouting Director of AIMM. She is an international scout and a former supermodel with over 30 years’ experience in the industry.

Final auditions of MFWA modelling competition is being organised in Uganda by MFWA’s Uganda agent Kwillz Fraternity (UG) Ltd, whose CEO is Mr Katongole William Victor. A highlight of the event is the selection of a model to represent Uganda at the Miss Fashion Week Africa grand finale in December 2017 in Florida, USA. The winners at the grand finale will receive all-expense-paid trips to the United States, modelling contracts, cash prizes of up to $5,000 and other valuable rewards.

Several corporate and government entities and media houses in the USA, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Cameroun, Uganda, Kenya, and Botswana have already signed on as sponsors of the event. Other companies, organisations, governments, and individuals who wish to become sponsors are asked to send an email directly to moc.tlusnoksenem@senem or moc.mrifwalsenem@jsenem.
