FCB Johannesburg's Xmas Party for disadvantaged children a great success

FCB Johannesburg hosted a Christmas party for the children of Hugh's Haven, the childcare centre the agency has 'adopted' as part of its corporate social outreach programme.
FCB Johannesburg's Xmas Party for disadvantaged children a great success

Originally known as The Yeoville Educare Centre, Hugh's Haven was renamed to honour Hugh Begg, who co-partnered the facility with Chaya Fenwick. It provides approximately 80 children from financially and socially disadvantaged back grounds with a safe, constructive and educational environment during the day, as well as after-school care facility for the older children.

The party was held at The Party Farmyard in Midrand, a perfect venue with two acres of fully grassed ground, a jungle gym with slides, trampoline, large covered sandpit, a wendyhouse, swings, see-saws, ride-on-zozo-bakkie, soccer net and balls, swingball, a bicycle track, obstacle course, petting zoo, a jumping castle and a waterslide hired for the day by agency staffers.

In addition to spoiling the children with lunch and refreshments throughout the day, FCB Johannesburg also decided to donate the money it would have spent on client gifts to Hugh's Haven and - in true South African style - Father Christmas arrived with presents for everyone in a bakkie!
