ABF announce industry sponsorship deal

The ABF Vital Support Fund has announced an industry specific sponsorship package deal enabling sponsors, for a cost of R20 000 per annum, to buy into multiple ABF hosted fundraising events.
Sharlene Vallance, the ABF's Vice President comments, "It is quite difficult to continually ask corporate donors, agencies and media owners to support some of our smaller events when they crop up. The ABF, under the guidance of the treasurer, Riana Stander, have put together this annual package to better assist our supporters in their annual planning budgets."

The package will allow the purchaser to participate in both ABF Johannesburg golf days (The President's Cup and the Crazy Golf Day), ten pin bowling and lawn bowls events as well as make provision for a block booking of ten tickets to the ABF's annual Bursary Fundraising Comedy evening. It will also include a corporate membership fee for the year. Riana adds, "It simply makes financial sense. A once off payment is much more manageable than chasing up invoices throughout the year and spending valuable time on admin."

"The package will also allow us to accurately gauge support by the industry for the ABF," says Sharlene. "A R20 000 investment in our industry charity will immediately assist any of our employees who are currently in crisis. For 41 years we have been the industry stalwart, we would love to ensure that this legacy continues and grows in strength. In order to prepare for the future, we need support from the current captains of industry and all those involved in the advertising, media, communications and marketing fields."

The ABF are happy to sit in consultation with any agency that would like a similar package made up for them. "We are in the process of searching for a commission based sales person who has intimate knowledge of the industry and who can call on agencies to sell these package or corporate membership," says Sharlene. "We feel that this strategy will serve all parties well. We are also excited at the opportunity to sell these packages at the upcoming Markex Show in Gauteng at Sandton Convention Centre from the 7th to 9th June and at Markex World of Events in Cape Town's International Convention Centre from the 23rd to 25th August."
