To all that supported the ABF Crazy Golf Day

On behalf of the Advertising Benevolent Fund of South Africa (the ABF) I hereby express our deep and very sincere thanks for your and your organisation's support for our Crazy Golf Day at Kyalami Country Club on 5th November.
It is people like you who make a difference to the lives of the many people that we assist to keep a roof above their heads and put food on the table because they are not able to do so fully on their own or not at all either because of illness or some other mishap. All have been part of the advertising or associated industries in the past or still are but not at a level where they can survive on their own income.

Since the ABF was established in 1969 (yes we will celebrate our 40th anniversary next year) we have provided 400 people/families with over R5,75 million of assistance. In this year thus far we have already provided R250 000.00 to people in need in the Advertising and associated industries. The people that we help range from a young lady of 30 with multiple sclerosis and dyslexia to a grand old lady of 91 who can no longer afford all the medication she needs and has no family who can assist her because they are also in need.

Our funds are partly generated from the various events that are organised by our local and branch fund-raising committees that consist of people in the advertising and associated industries on a voluntary basis and we only have one full-time employee to handle the administration. The major part of our funds come from the subscriptions the advertising agencies, media organisations, suppliers to these firms and also from individual members who pay their fees either annually or monthly by debit order. These are people who take their social responsibility seriously but who also occasionally let their hair down and have fun at some of the events like the Crazy Golf Day or the Beach Volleyball day last month.

You should visit our sponsored website or our sponsored Press Office on the Biz Community website for more information and maybe see your picture there. Once again many thanks.

Yours faithfully,
To all that supported the ABF Crazy Golf Day
