25 Loerie nominations for Egg and Humanoid

Egg Films is one of the most nominated production companies at this year's Loerie Awards, where Kevin Fitzgerald's Tracker Memories for Joe Public is jointly the most nominated commercial.

Egg and Humanoid have 25 nominations split between six directors, with Kevin and Slim both on eight.

Memories documents a woman's life in rapid-fire reverse, ending with her rescue by Tracker as a baby. It's up for TV Cinema Commercial - Short Form and Integrated Campaign, as well as the following crafts:
  • Directing (Kevin Fitzgerald)
  • Cinematography (Mark Bliss)
  • Art Direction (Jeremy Argue)
  • Editing (Gordon Midgely)
Slim's Garmin Glory for Volcano is up for four awards. The epic war spot dramatizes the inner battle of a triathlete on his journey to the finish line. It's nominated for the following crafts:
  • Cinematography (Werner Maritz)
  • Art Direction (John Nankin, Pierre Vienings)
  • Special Visual Effects (Sinister Studios)
  • Editing (James Hosking)

  • Laurence Hamburger: Vodacom - Pirates for Draftfcb
  • Slim: Comair (Kulula) - Top Gun for King James
  • Slim: Wimpy - Hungry for Metro
  • Slim: Wimpy - Gina for Metro
Nando's, Beechies, and Comair are all nominated for Integrated Campaign, while C-Track is up for Best Special Visual Effects, thanks to BlackGinger.

At last year's Loerie Awards, Egg won 19 awards, including five Golds spread between the Advertising, Craft and Campaign categories.
