As the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games draw near, I began to wonder just how many days there were until the opening ceremony. In my search I discovered that there were just about 40 days until the opening ceremony. Just 40?! Usually you hear of big countdown celebrations at the 100 day mark but maybe I missed that...
I went along and wanted to find out just which African countries were sending teams to represent our continent. I came across a list of individual African country's information regarding their Olympic squads, star athletes and medal contenders. I was amazed to find out the amount of athletes that will be taking part come 27 July 2012. Read

I would like to take the opportunity to wish each and every team on the continent the very best of luck! I'm positive Africa will collect more than a handful of medals!
