60% of African mobile web users are shopping via their mobile devices. This is a huge number considering there are 489 million mobile web users on the continent. If these figures aren't convincing enough for brands wondering whether or not to engage audiences via mobile, then consider that InMobi, an independent mobile ad network, now serves 4.2 billion impressions a month in Africa - an increase of
21% since January this year.
