Black Friday comes to MozambiqueMozambique will experience Black Friday on 27 November for 18 hours. It is the largest, and sometimes, most crazy online shopping day of the year. ![]() According to Jonathan Novotny, Director of Compra.co.mz, the idea behind e-commerce and the motivation to grow it in Mozambique is to "open new channels of purchasing power for consumers". Transparency and competition benefit the economy and when people can find what they want easier and at better prices, even while in remote cities in Mozambique, the efficiencies begin to take place. Novotny says the idea behind launching Black Friday as an online sales event in Mozambique came from Valter Jotamo, Head of Online Marketing in Compra.co.mz, who has a passion to push the limits and bring full e-commerce in the country. This is an event that will help raise awareness around this goal. Compra, registered as AE Technologies, is launching this event on the site: www.compra.co.mz and around 100 deals and discounts will be available to order and purchase immediately via Credit Card or Bank Transfer starting at 6am and ending at 12am on Friday 27 November. Some deals and products will be made available through well-known Compra.co.mz partners such as Samsung Lojas em Mocambique, MozImpor, LG, Sony Mocambique and Premier SuperSpar. Purchases will be limited to one per client and some items will have very limited stock available. Some tips for those looking to benefit from the discounts: 1. Decide what you are looking for in advance: Products can run out of stock very quickly, so know in advance what you are looking for. |
