New research suggests SA's ban on cigarette sales is failing
The result of the cigarette has made cigarettes harder to come by. This in return make the rural areas share more cigarettes than before the ban. Passing 1 cigarette to 4 different people has increased the spread of the virus. Need I say any more?????

Welcome to the latest Monty Python fiasco
Agreed Chris. An additional issue is the lack of investment by agencies and brands in the people and skills to understand and use the right analysis tools. Also ... AMPS was only useful for views of the bottom and middle class. Strategists should (and do) use BrandMapp for in-depth views of the top 30% of adults responsible for 80% of all spend. It's like AMPS for wealthy people - but better! More at www.whyfive.co.za

Viu South Africa collaborates with 1voucher to offer new payment options for Viu Premium customers
Be warned - Looks like terrible value. ViU and MTN charged me R 5 per day for a week without me knowing then told me to top up. Basic maths of R 150 per month for ViU plus exorbitant data costs for streaming over the creaking SA cell network make this one of the most UNattractive offers to come out in years!

New research suggests SA's ban on cigarette sales is failing
The illicit cigarette trade is booming in South Africa, and it is clear that the Government is not concerned about loosing most needed revenue from the legal sales of cigarettes, and actually are showing that they approve the sale of illicit cigarettes, increasing criminality. Can they not realize, that the ban on cigarettes is a waste of time, and that the sale of illicit cigarettes will just increase its activities? The ban on cigarettes was most certainly a foolish and irresponsible move by the Government, as they have made criminals out of many once abiding law citizens.

New research suggests SA's ban on cigarette sales is failing
So the Government now has, at its disposal, serious research which suggests that if it keeps the cigarette ban in place, it will lose money due to the fiscus, prop up a criminal racketeering ring and serve no realisable health benefits. So, when will this happen? There is no argument to keep the ban in place - in fact, it is counterproductive. There needs to be an in-depth investigation in why this Government has forced 90% of smokers to become criminals.

What people really get up to in self-isolation
Everyone does what he can. For example, I read books in the afternoon and in the evening I watch different films. She fixed all the sockets and sealed everything that was needed and her hands did not reach. She made shelves for books. I cleaned the balcony with everything I could do. But quarantine has already been removed and you can go outside and go to work.

Is it legal for someone to record you without your knowledge?
Good day.I would like to ask if it would be unlawful to record a neighbor's vulgar behavior to send to the landlord as just a complaint is not effective.

Land reform beneficiaries, use lockdown to put your CPA in order
I fully agree that there needs to be solid gorvenace systems and transparent CPA structure for each region.I have almost deposited a huge amount for the lease of land for the agricultural business idea which would have been into a fraudulent account.Still not certain of the procedure in place to follow to present an agricultural business idea whereby we require land to Kickstart the project. I hope that by the end of Lockdown we are able to understand the processes in place and also The CPA leadership structures that will guide us through the processes.M. M

BREAKING: Caxton's board decides to close its magazine division
As much as I feel desperately sad for all the employees of the division, I have first hand experience of being mistreated by the Caxton group. This is a case of what goes around comes around and the group has finally received its comeuppance. I for one am not disappointed.

It doesn't have to be the end. The business model just needs to change. The losses may be an obsticle now but Caxton can redefine itself especially in the 4th industrial revolution...
