Why are we paying such high prices for vegetables lately? Price of 1 mango is R14.99 at Fruit and Veg. P'nP and woolworths veggie prices are soaring by the day?
I would actually argue that digital transformation will reduce corruption. Why? Because it can’t be used as a tool to hold citizens accountable. Think of something as simple as land transfer in Nigeria where a piece of land can buy sold to multiple buyers creating a pointless conflict. With digitalization of the full transaction, corruption will be reduced.
It's obviously a very noble initiative. But let's rather call it recycled plastic than saving the environment? When these plastic products have reached the end of their useful life, they will probably end up in landfills or even worse, blown into water ways and washed out to sea. This will be the end cycle until the plastic waste product is seen as a resource that can be managed and repurposed in a sustainable, economical and environmentally acceptable fashion. Plastic is a global problem. Both in our oceans and on land. It's sad that plastic bags are called our "national flower" in some parts of the country! And the irony is that a lot of this plastic is labelled bio-degradable or re-cycled.What if plastic in all forms is viewed as a cheap resource rather than waste? Nevelle Hyman, the founder of NevHouse has found a solution that uses plastic in all forms as a resource that addresses two of the major challenges facing people. Pollution and Housing. Waste and the efficient disposal face many challenges. Socialogical, economical and environmental challenges. By converting plastic waste into building panels NevHouse addresses all these challenges in one sustainable chain.

If you are in a comfort zone, starting a business will definitely stretch you into a growth zone. Not for the faint-hearted, but well-worth the personal development if you want to live a more passion-filled and purpose-led life.
I fully agree. In the heart of lockdown I thumbnailed a video on my YouTube channel on exactly what the impact is of supporting local economies. I particularly like your point about local decision-making and influence: "When local ownership is supported by a community, it allows important decisions to be made by the people who live in the neighbourhood and care about how those decisions will impact the community."
Excellent post. Johannesburg is a truly amazing place to visit. Also I can add that a visit to the Cullinan Diamond mine is in itself an amazing experience. You can visit Cullinan mine tours
Some of the reasons that many agents don't feel like entrepreneurs include: the fact that we are classed legally and for tax purposes as employees; the fact that we have little or no control over how the agency which employs us runs itself, markets itself etc.; the fact that (despite many of our costs coming out of our own pockets) we only get a partial commission, which can be as low as 40% of the total commission we bring in on a sale or rental. Further to this, the logistical difficulties in progressing to a point where we could start & run our own agencies are significant and involve the hit & miss experience of dealing with the EAAB, a hideous, corrupt and woefully inefficient organisation which should be overhauled and run properly, but which we have to slavishly subscribe to and obey.
Hi David. It is absolutely brilliant that one of our local retailers looks to set the trend in fast fashion. We would like to partner you in enabling your designers and online team to deliver a wide range of unique fashion pieces to your consumers, making you the first company to truly embrace this technology. I have sent you an email and look forward to being in contact.Ernst / Apparel Technology

No, wait, talented people still sell things to others who make other things... but..... so... business is still operating on the same principles.... only now we have huge tax (YAY!!!!) and a VERY COMPETENT government that tells us what to do.... and we really love it. Yay Yay Yay......
