Indeed, we must be forward thinking, there will be life after Covid -19 and we need to strategise and come up with recovery plans. The recovery plans start today, now, during the crisis with presence in the mainstream and social media. The robust communication team must be customer-centric and focus in a two symmetrical communication that strengthens the brand and the customer presence. Indeed, it will be a slow and caution process to build the trust and sense a doing business in the post-Covid period, therefore, it will be prudent to organise virtual indabas to discuss how the stakeholders will harness the trust and sustainability of businesses to pool through.
This don't make sense, from an Landlord point of view maybe, but what about the tenant... Keep in mind that when applying for you need to give out money to get the place. In my case i have paid deposit and rent for the place i am due to occupy on 1 April, i cant afford to pay my current landlord another month rent which means my family wont have food, electricity or water... How do we tenants survive this crucial time now??? Also Adding that i can move without making contact with anybody besides the people i'm already with everyday since the COVID-19 broke out....WHAT DO WE DO???
Any further instruction from minister Khumbudzo Ntshaveni (Dept. of Small Business Development) on the process for UIF applications for staff? I heard they would be upgrading the www.smmesa.gov.za (which has been taken down) and rolling out a simple 'one spreadsheet' application for businesses specifically for the covid 19 crisis, to apply for UIF on behalf of all their staff?
But is the government checking or inspecting all the mines in the country or they just reading through the reports they get from mining bosses? I think it is about time the government take serious steps towards these sectors, because some them are not even complying with safety. All they care about is production and some of them they are not even providing sanitisers and water for employees to wash their hands
What a great piece Mariette. Thoughtful, practical and real. Some excellent advice for all in the tourism sector. Together we can build this industry up again. Just as big, but different and better.
Unfortunately Airbnb acted unilaterally without consultation with their hosts many of whom had cancellation clauses in their contracts which were ignored by Airbnb to the devastating financial detriment of hosts. I will certainly be reviewing my Airbnb agreement in favour of other OTA's.
Good afternoon, I am unable to locate this Amendment Bill anywhere online. Please may you advise how I may go about obtaining a copy of same? Thank you
So essentially at this time of pulling together, the expectation is that budgets will be withdrawn from the key areas whose value chains significantly contribute to the SA economy, OOH, local radio, local TV, etc. and then rather spend with international based online platforms Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. That would be a very disappointing result for SA. Call me naive but I am hoping South Africans can see the bigger picture of trying to protect the local economy. I also know that my online consumption was already at full saturation point so I do not intend to spend a single second more on my computer/phone during this period.
Cloud is the way but if the solution is just replicating a server based solution what it the point? This is where HRSimplified wins hands down, as well as on price. Superior functionality that exploits the cloud to benefit the business and of course a killer price www.hrsimplified.co.za
