    Blog for marketers about people

A new blog that aims to refocus business attention on the importance of investing in relationships with people, as opposed to simply building brands, was recently launched by media man Herman Manson
    Blog for marketers about people

"MarkLives.com reports on people - on our interactions with our environment, our ideas, why, how and with whom we are prepared to do business - in short, where we are at," says Manson, the editor of the blog.

"We want to look at people's interests and how business can leverage these for engagement, for innovation, for creating value for everyone involved.

"MarkLives.com covers a world-wide trend towards the re-engagement between real people as opposed to people and technology. People are looking for real engagement, a real interest in their causes and needs, they are no longer sold on traditional advertising. The way businesses engage with people, both customers and staff, is being redefined, and we all need to be aware of how this trend affects us if we are going to manage this process."

MarkLives.com also showcases South Africa's top creative talent as case studies in effective ways of business communication and for the pure joy of showing the beautiful work South Africans create to the world.

A digital magazine called Mark is in the works for October 2008. The magazine will use software that allows readers to use a browser to page through the magazine on their computer screens as they would page through a more traditional printed title.

Mark is managed by Manson, with the support of team of top business journalists and photographers. Manson has a long history with digital media and publishing, having founded the award-winning website media.toolbox in 1998, and is a founder and, until recently, publisher of the award-winning Brand magazine.
