The Citizen says that the boat appeared to have some damage to its hull and was taking on water. However, the NSRI boat accompanied the charter vessel back to Hout Bay where it was safely moored and all the passengers disembarked.
Regular seal-watching tours to Duiker Island are conducted by a number of charter groups in Cape Town and have proved incredibly popular with thousands of tourists who are keen to see the large population of Cape Fur seals that make the island their home.
