    One Show juries released

NEW YORK: The One Club, a US non-profit organisation for recognition and promotion of excellence in advertising, recently released the judging panels for The One Show, One Show Design and One Show Interactive, the three annual awards programmes that make up the One Show Festival which recognise the year's best creative advertising. Nathan Reddy of Grid and Adam Whitehouse of Stonewall+ are the two South African jury members.

Judging for The One Show will take place 25 March - 2 April 2007, and judging for One Show Interactive and One Show Design both on 11 - 17 March. Winners will be announced at the One Show on 9 May 2007 at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.

"The One Show Pencil resonates with the advertising community because it is selected by the professionals creating the most innovative work worldwide," says Mary Warlick, CEO of The One Club for Art & Copy.

"One Show Design is important because it is the one showcase where innovative work is seen by both the advertising and design communities," she continues.

    Expect inspiring show

According to PJ Pereira, Interactive jury chairman and executive creative director at AKQA, "One Show Interactive this year has one of the best panel of judges I have ever seen in a single group, possessing people with the passion and experience to pick the work that really pushes the boundaries of our medium; the pieces that must be seen, studied and remembered."

"Considering the quality of work that has been produced around the world during the last months, we can only expect one of the most inspiring shows this industry has ever had."

Last year the One Show received a record-breaking 17 834 entries from 63 countries. Winners of all three awards programs will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils, considered a zenith of achievement within the advertising industry.

Deadline entry was 31 January. For more information, go to www.oneclub.org.
