Amongst the Thebe Exhibitions and Projects Group (TEPG) exhibitions being held in 2012, the International Small Business Congress is aimed at improving small business practice globally. The parallel exhibition will showcase SMMEs in high-growth sectors, such as agro-processing, automotive, mining, construction, tourism, cultural, business process services, chemicals and the greening industry. The event will coincide with the annual Business Opportunities and Franchise Expo, owned and managed by the group, in September 2012.

The AORTIC conference, to be held at the International Convention Centre Durban in late 2013, is set to attract 1000 delegates from countries all over Africa as well as Europe and North America and is expected to generate in the order of R12.5-million for the local economy. AORTIC is held every second year in different countries throughout Africa in order to best serve the interests of the African cancer care community.
"Hosting a conference of this nature in Durban will further assist medical researchers in their research relating to cancers prevalent in Africa. The conference will provide support for the management of training programmes in oncology for health care workers, deal with the challenges of creating cancer control and prevention programmes and raise public awareness of cancer in Africa," said Prof Vikash Sewram, Oncology Research Unit, UKZN and Director: Cancer Research Initiative of South Africa (CARISA).
The 2011 AORTIC conference was held in Cairo from 30 November to 2 December 2011.
