Enter LG Life Tastes Good Championship 2011

Entries for the national LG Life Tastes Good Championship 2011 are open to all aspiring food lovers who wish to submit a team recipe to achieve the title, prizes and represent South Africa at the regional finals in Dubai. Entries close on 12 June 2011. The theme for this year's competition is 'The World on Your Table by Lightwave'.

The competition will be judged by South African food personality, Jenny Morris, also known as 'The Giggling Gourmet' and the show will be hosted by 702 radio personality, Kieno Kammies. This year, it will be televised on DStv's Home Channel from mid-August, the first locally produced cook-off show to do so.

"Food and the art of cooking is such an important part of South African culture and, with the championship open to all food lovers, we are bound to see an assortment of culinary creations and recipes," says Seulhee Gu, the home appliance brand manager for LG South Africa. "This cook-off show is a first for the company and aims to celebrate the diversity of food that we taste, cook and are able to enjoy daily with the help of the brand's stylish eco-friendly cooking appliances."

Described as the only cooking competition on a global level that is endorsed by renowned organisations such as the World Association of Chefs Society and Le Cordon Bleu, the competition is open to all aspiring foodies (no qualified chefs) and cooking school students who wish to follow a career in the culinary arts.
