The extra flights will be operated in March and April 2019 with evening departures every Friday from Seychelles, in addition to the current scheduled services on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

A special sale with fares starting from SCR7, 072 is now available for all flights to Johannesburg. Tickets are on sale until 31 January, and seats are limited. Terms and conditions apply.

With the additional services, there will be more than 1,900 seats per week between Seychelles and Johannesburg.

Charles Johnson, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Seychelles, said: “Last year to accommodate the growing demand during the peak festive season, Air Seychelles operated a new Friday evening departure flight from Mahe.

"As such to further build on our commitment towards the South African market and to significantly boost trade as well as tourism in both directions, it is only fitting that we provide extra seats and cargo capacity where there is a demand.

"The enhancement to our schedule for the seven weeks will not only offer our guests more choice and greater flexibility when booking their travel during the peak Easter month but it will also cater for travellers planning a quick weekend getaway to the largest city in South Africa, Johannesburg."

The schedule for the additional flights between Seychelles and Johannesburg over the Easter holidays starting from 15 March 2019:

Flights will depart Seychelles at 6.25pm, arriving in Johannesburg 9.30pm. The return service will depart Johannesburg at 10.30, arriving in Seychelles at 5.25am. Flights will be operated between 15 March to 26 April
