The entry, an eight-part series on Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, was directed and produced by Shareen Anderson of Fort Greene Filmworks and Lisa Henry of Left Hand Films. It was broadcast worldwide on Al Jazeera English in 2009.

The series walks in the shoes of various doctors, nurses and staff that work tirelessly, and with little reward, to save human lives under difficult circumstances. The hospital acts as a microcosm for many of the social problems that South Africa is grappling with today. The channel will be rebroadcasting the series, beginning April 19 2010 on DStv 406.

Henry and Anderson are currently producing a one-hour documentary on crime in South Africa. The film examines how various communities are tackling one of the biggest issues facing the country today and asks what possible solutions are out there.
