    Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City earns four-star green rating

    Attacq's recently launched Courtyard Hotel Waterfall has been awarded a four-star green rating for Best Practice from the Green Building Council South Africa.

    Commented Giles Pendleton, chief development officer at Attacq: “It is a great honour for another one of our buildings, Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City, to be recognised for its sustainability standards and environmental consciousness. We are pleased that our efforts in making Waterfall City and Logistics Hub safe, sustainable spaces is paying dividends, affirming our commitment to sound environmental stewardship and best in class green design.”

    Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City launched phase 1 in March 2021 and included commercial spaces such as the basement, ground floor and ninth floor, as well as 84 bedrooms and four suites. The remaining 80 rooms will be brought online in subsequent phases in line with demand.

    Following the standards set out with all Waterfall City developments, the hotel was built with environmentally friendly principles in mind. The hotel has implemented efficient water and electrical designs and intelligent metering systems and software to consolidate data displayed on permanent screens strategically placed within the foyer to ensure ongoing education and awareness for guests and staff.
