Not only will Gooderson Leisure be hosting a water table, but they have also donated over R50,000 worth of hospitality prizes for lucky draws including family getaways to the berg, the bush, the beach or the battlefields at their various Gooderson Leisure destinations within South Africa.

A healthy lifestyle

"I am so pleased that the majority of the Gooderson Leisure staff have accepted the challenge to participate in the walk," says Gail Westphal, the sales and marketing general manager of the group. "Not only can we consider this a mini team building exercise, but it also shows that our staff as a whole want to embrace a healthy lifestyle. It would be fantastic if other hospitality groups within the province join us by accepting the challenge."

The R50 per person entrance fee will go to helping underprivileged diabetics. The first 1 500 walkers over the finish line will receive a goodie-bag courtesy of Diabetes SA's sponsors. Registration can be done on the website www.diabetessa.co.za or register on Sunday, 17 November between 7am and 7.45am.

Both participants and supporters can receive free glucose, BMI, kidney function and blood pressure tests from the various exhibitors taking part at the healthy lifestyle Wellness Expo.
