In the new comedic drama "Everything Must Go" (based on Raymond Carver's short story, "Why Don't You Dance?"), we meet Nick Halsey (Will Farrell) a recovering alcoholic on the worst day of his life. He's just lost his job, his wife is divorcing him, she's locked him out of his house and tossed all his possessions onto the front lawn. With nowhere to go and no means of emotional support, Halsey crawls into a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon, waiting for what he believes is the inevitable.
"We chose this film for our charity screening because it lends itself well towards reminding people that there are those out there who need our help. Life often throws us curved balls, sometimes we can swing and successfully make the play, and other times, we are like Nick Halsey, unable to cope and inert in the face of overwhelming adversity, " said Lola Gallant of Ster-Kinekor Theatres.
