Government's commitment to bring skills back, welcomed

The Homecoming Revolution warmly welcomes Minister Ebrahim Patel's commitment to bring South African skills back home for his R300bn infrastructure programme. "We look forward to hearing more with regard to affirmative action and immigration policies. We have had ten years experience in this field, and we are ready to partner with government to accelerate South Africa's success," says Angel Jones, founder of the Homecoming Revolution.

The Homecoming Revolution website has seen a 137% year on year increase in visits, and last year had an average of 100 000 users from over 70 countries worldwide. The average profile is professionals older than 30 who have spent more than five years abroad, living in the UK, Australia, USA, Canada, Europe and UAE.

"With our international expos and tailor-made solutions, we have assisted many firms with recruitment, including Murray & Roberts, Group 5 and the Gautrain Bombela Consortium. As we know South Africa is competing on a global level for human capital, and we need to fast track the import of skills. Currently, ten percent of our enquiries come from foreigners," Jones concludes.
