#OnTheBigScreen: Can You Keep a Secret ?

Can You Keep a Secret ? is the only new film releasing in local cinemas this week.

A young woman (Alexandra Daddario) spills all of her secrets to a stranger (Tyler Hoechlin) on a plane when she thinks it’s about to crash. She later meets the man and discovers he is her company’s new CEO, and he knows all of her humiliating secrets.

This romantic comedy is directed by Elise Duran, based on the novel of same name by Sophie Kinsella, with the screenplay was adapted by Peter Hutchings.

“I love rom-coms,” says Daddario. “As I’ve gotten older I can’t watch anything too heavy and violent…I’m drawn to watching things that are fun and silly, and truthful and have happy endings. Rom-coms are kind of my go-to.”

“I’ve always enjoyed rom-coms growing up, it was always a fun genre for me,” says Hoechlin “It feels like they’ve gone away and are now coming back. Which is great. It’s nice to see they are coming back and to be a part of one was an exciting thing and something new for me and different.”
