#MusicExchange: Kurt Darren

Kurt Darren - a doyen of SA music - has a new single out, and is busier than ever. We sent him some quick fire questions to find out what makes him tick.

On Sunday, when the Springboks play Japan, no self-respecting Bok fan can say they have not played “Kaptein” before a game involving the green and gold. Now add his new single “#Partytjiedier” to your collection.

When are you happiest?

At a great game lodge with my wife and kids – I love Kapama, Thornybush, Rockfig Lodge and the Kruger National Park.

Music calms me even though my show is so frenetic.

Being able to sing the songs I've written in front of thousands of people that sing every lyric with me.

My music can get a party going.
