Inaugural Fashion Industry Awards South Africa winners revealed

The Fashion Forum Group announced the winners of its inaugural Fashion Industry Awards South Africa, presented in partnership with the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, during a ceremony held at Sanctuary Mandela in Johannesburg on 25 March.

The awards were developed to acknowledge and celebrate creative and business excellence that has positively impacted the local fashion landscape.

Among the big winners of the Fashion Industry Awards South Africa 2021 were designer Jo Borkett, scooping the Lifetime Achievement Award; Thebe Magugu, winning Fashion Designer of the Year; Craig Jacobs, who walked off with Fashion Innovation of the Year; and The Space, which won Retail Space of the Year.
