The event's theme explores the latest technology and trends - with revolutionary speakers discussing the importance and impact of radical ideas and fast change in an age of upheaval. The theme embraces the future, our youth and how we can fundamentally improve lives locally and globally with the helping hand of technology. Because how else can we make a change without thinking about the future?
This will be the fourth edition of TEDxPretoria - a localised offshoot of the Technology, Education and Design (TED) series of talks which has become an international movement under the banner of "Ideas worth spreading". The talks, which are freely available online, are widely recognised as one of the world's most inspiring sources of new thinking on a diverse range of cultural and scientific subjects.
The live talks will be given by striving social activists who aspire to make a change, technological geniuses with exciting new ideas, driven entrepreneurs who fight for the youth and their education, ordinary people with extraordinary stories and performers who use poetry and writing to express their innermost feelings in a touching way, along with influential experts in psychology and relationships who will share their memorable musings.
