The interactive website features a comprehensive range of practical consumer healthcare products from vitamins and diet pills to personal grooming and infant care. It uses the latest technology to offer consumers a hassle-free, online shopping experience with access to big brands such as Dove, Colgate, Nivea and Cepacol amongst many others.

With many products to choose from, ranging from personal essentials to self-medication and supplements, free delivery across the country on orders over R500 and good prices, the site is well positioned to bring consumers a fresh and convenient way to shop.

CEO Paul Cook, previously at McKinsey & Company, said, "The consumer healthcare market in Africa is booming and we are excited about giving everyone access to great healthcare products at the best prices."

Silvertree Capital finances the online venture. Founding partner Manuel Koser, founder of Zando and Jumia e-commerce websites, said, "We are excited about the growth of e-commerce in both South Africa and the rest of Africa and the motivated Healthcart.co.za team is encouraging us to expand our vision."
