“We are very excited to be launching a new and improved version of South African Express' magazine; it's a fantastic opportunity for Ink and we intend to maximise Indwe's value to the airline, passengers and readers,” said Simon Leslie, Ink's group publishing director.

"Huge growth potential"

“South Africa has huge growth potential and we will seek out every opportunity. Ink's first office in Africa will open shortly in Johannesburg,”

“South African Express needed to find a publisher that would strengthen its position as the leading regional airline in Africa by producing an innovative, quality monthly magazine. Ink's experience and strategy for Indwe magazine show they have a clear understanding of the direction we want to go in,” added Dileseng Koetle, corporate communication manager and public relations manager at South African Express.

South African Express is allegedly one of the fastest growing regional airlines in Africa. The airline's route network connects major hubs such as Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban to business and leisure destinations such as Bloemfontein, East London, Kimberley, Kruger Mpumalanga and Port Elizabeth. Regionally, South African Express operates to Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique and Namibia.

In-depth coverage

The magazine's front section will contain articles and regular columns by respected journalists covering a wide selection of topics - culture, sport, cuisine and fine dining, hotel/lodge reviews, plus gadgets and product pages - that will have eye-catching visuals to draw the reader in. The features section will contain travel, profiles and business stories, as well as in-depth coverage of one of the airline's destinations written by a local writer.
