Time for public vote in Shoprite Checkers Women of the Year Award

The public has until 2pm on Friday 20 July 2012 to vote for the most deserving women in the various categories of the Shoprite Checkers Women of the Year Award. Their voting will account for 30% of the final score, although the judges' decision will be final. The winners will accept their awards on Saturday 21 July 2012 at Emperors Palace in Gauteng.

Finalists

  • Socio-Economic Business Developers Category - Judy Stuart, Nyeleti Mushwana and Virginia Shuku
  • Good Neighbours Against Crime Category - Sinikiwe Biyela, Margi Biggs and Judy Govender
  • Educators Category - Jane Keen, Nomonde Ntsundwana and Marisa van der Merwe
  • Youth Movers Category - Shéri Brynard, Liesel James and Kashveera Chanderjith
  • Health Care-Givers Category - Cwengi Myeni, Barbara Rass and Tina Botha

Voters may vote for only one woman in each category and must send a separate SMS for each category in which they vote. Vote online at www.womenoftheyear.co.za or vote via SMS the word WOTY and the winner's name and surname to 32113 (Cost R1 per SMS).
