Sign Africa and Africa Print Expo set for 2012

Practical Publishing is said to be all geared up for the International Sign Africa and Africa Print Expo taking place from 22-24 August 2012 at Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa. This expo is aimed at providing business opportunities, equipment and consumables relating to the printing and signage industries.

Sign Africa will provide a platform into Africa for the sign, wide format digital printing, design, graphics and marketing arenas. South Africa is reported to be the gateway into Africa. Sign Africa offers the opportunity for local and international visitors to investigate the various available business ventures, gathering ideas from the range of new products for the signage and display industries.

What to expect

There will be displays and information on the latest developments, together with business opportunities including photo books and brand new innovations in wide format technology like the new Roland and Mimaki latex printers.

The purpose is to assist printshop owners and managers, and distributors, to learn about the pros and cons of wide-format inkjet printers, especially UV-curable flatbeds, but also eco, mild, lite, and bio-solvent printers, as well as water-based inks for textiles, giclee, and fine art photography.

Ricoh SA will headline three important products in Johannesburg, including two multifunction printers, one black and white and one colour which will be displayed alongside a projector, the full Ricoh range of which includes mobile and short throw projectors that extend document management from the printed page and single screen view.

Konica Minolta South Africa will showcase digital production press award winners, its comprehensive photo book solution and innovative products. Visitors can also view print finishing solutions from Kemtek Imaging Systems, including new Duplo and Durst products which were launched at drupa in May.
