Top speakers at the Impumelelo B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice Conference

With the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice Conference just on a month away (17 and 18 May 2005 at Caesars, Gauteng), top speakers from key government departments and corporates have joined Top Companies Publishing in a synergy that'll see your questions on Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) and the Codes of Good Practice aired, address and debated.

Phase One of the two-part conference (Phase Two to be held on 7 and 8 September 2005), which will tackle the issues of charter formulation, questions and clarification surrounding empowerment versus ownership and management, and the key role played by a rating agency, includes the following speakers:

- Cas Coovadia: Managing Director: Banking Association of South Africa
- Jeffrey Ndumo: Director BEE Partnership: The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti)
- Polo Radebe: Director BEE: the dti, EIDD (Enterprise and Industry Development Division)
- Tebogo Khaas: Chairman of the SMME Forum
- Kevin Lester: Director: Cliffe Dekker
- Loyiso Mbabane: Senior HR Lecturer: UCT GSB
- William Janisch: Director of Empowerment Services: dti consultant
- Jerry Vilikazi: MD of Black Management Forum
- Lisa Tait: Transformation Director: Multotec Group
- Representative from SANAS on the role of a rating agency

Said to be the most important piece of legislation to influence South African business in the last century, the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice and the pressing need for information on how the current BEE charters and legislation will be harmonised under the Codes, provide the platform for 2005's most dynamic and pertinent conference on empowerment in South Africa.

To book your seat for Phase One of the conference, alongside 400 of the country's captains of industry and business, email or call (+27 21) 441 2500.
