Once again Damelin voted outstanding college and training institution in the City of Tshwane

Damelin has darted its way to success once more within the education sector after receiving their second Silver Arrow Award among outstanding colleges and training institutions at the PMR Africa Awards in Pretoria and surrounding areas on Monday, 10 November 2014.

For the second consecutive year Damelin Centurion, Damelin Menlyn and Damelin Pretoria City have collectively been bestowed this honour for achieving academic excellence through a survey conducted in the City of Tshwane.

The PMR Africa Awards is an annual event that takes place in various cities around the country and is aimed at recognising companies who have made significant growth change within their area of expertise. Damelin was voted among the best in its category after extensive research was conducted, with hundreds of respondents comprising of CEOs, managers and senior government officials casting their votes.

At the Leaders and Achievers Breakfast, Damelin also changed a life with a R5,000 bursary giveaway. Amal Grey of Gildenhuis Malatji Attorneys was the proud recipient of the bursary and expressed her excitement after winning. She said, "Firstly I would like to thank Damelin for this fantastic opportunity. I have never won a bursary before, thus this came as a complete surprise. Now I can actually say that my luck has changed."

The prestigious award was proudly received by the three general managers, Estelle van der Walt of Damelin Centurion, Tania Smith of Damelin Menlyn and Yusuf Essack of Damelin Pretoria City. Delighted to win, they each shared the following about their campus and how it felt to receive the award:

"Damelin Menlyn is a modern new campus, ideally located next to the popular Menlyn Shopping Centre. We are proud to share the limelight with many distinguished winners from the various categories. We are extremely elated to have the title of an award-winning campus for the second year running," said Tania Smith.

Yusuf Essack said, "Damelin Pretoria City is based in the Metropolis of South Africa, showcasing a unique urban landscape and central location for easy access to major transport routes. We are certainly humbled and excited to receive the award. We look forward to welcoming a number of prestigious awards in the near future."
