The Shared Value Africa Initiative (SVAI), founded and driven by Shift, was born from the need to raise awareness about and advocate for the adoption of the concept of Shared Value on the African continent and globally, enhance Shared Value networks on the African continent, and promote the production of and access to local research on Shared Value in the African context. It is no longer adequate for businesses to focus on profit margins alone. Creating Shared Value means doing good while doing good business, building social and environmental awareness into the very fundamentals of business strategy.
