S'khumbuzo Nkosi was recently promoted to Deputy Managing Director of leading wholly South African owned national outdoor advertiser Primedia Outdoor.
Nkosi, who joined Primedia Outdoor in 1997, has previously held executive positions in Sales and New Business Development, responsible for the management and facilitation of site acquisitions and regulatory environment. In January 2004, Nkosi was appointed Strategic Operations Director, where his core focus was new business development and rights acquisitions. Nkosi soon became regarded as an authority on the rights and regulatory environment, which coupled with his leadership and business expertise, propelled his career. Nkosi brings with him a wealth of experience and understanding of new markets and the related regulations that apply to the outdoor industry.
In his capacity as Deputy Managing Director, Nkosi, who is also the Vice Chairman of Out of Home Media South Africa (OHMSA), will maintain his role supervising Primedia Outdoor's regulatory requirements and new business acquisitions. Nkosi will continue to work closely with Managing Director, Pete Piccione on business and financial strategies, from formulation to implementation. The newly appointed Deputy Managing Director's next challenge will be to introduce AdLites nationally, Primedia Outdoor's street light intersection division. AdLites has experienced phenomenal regional success and under Nkosi's guidance promises similar success throughout South Africa.
