    APO invitation to AfricaCom 2012 revealed

    The African Press Organisation (APO) has awarded John Churu from Botswana, the opportunity to participate at AfricaCom 2012, held from 13-15 November 2012 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), South Africa.

    APO will offer transport, accommodation and a daily allowance for the ICT journalist to attend the conference under the theme 'Reaching the Next Frontier for Growth'.

    For three years, Churu has been Botswana's bureau chief for Biztechafrica.com and has written extensively on ICT issues.

    "We are delighted for John and hope that this experience at the AfricaCom 2012 will benefit not only him, but also Biztechafrica.com and its readers", said Eloïne Barry, APO executive director.

    Churu has written for the Sunday Tribune and Mmegi Newspapers in Botswana and is a member of the Botswana Editors' Forum.

    Industry players are expected to gather together to share their views on how to promote new services and business models. From large operators to content providers, alternative players, solutions providers, applications developers and more. Visionaries from all sides of the business will give their perspective on digital Africa.
