Incoming deputy chairman is Elizabeth Kruger of Afgriland Magazine. Sanki Lerefolo of the Government Communications and Information System will continue as public relations officer.

On his acceptance of the role of chairman, Hlahla said the club will continue serving the interests of its members, including providing platforms for newsmakers and networking opportunities through events such as monthly networking forums and media briefings.

"I will make sure that in my tenure as chairman, members are involved in all aspects of the club. It is therefore my wish to also have the members' support as we cannot function without them."

New members to the executive committee are: Abe Mokoka of UNISA; Bertus Cilliers of ARMSCOR; Phillip Bruwer of Rekord newspaper; and Lillian Mofokeng of the Department of Public Works.

Yolanda Barnard of Die Son; Eagan Williamson of Beeld; Lineo Mosia of the Department of Provincial and Local Government; and Daphney Kgwebane of the University of Limpopo, remain members of the executive committee. Junxion Communications will continue to be the secretariat of the club.
